Ten Best Results Tips for Brides-to-Be
1. We recommend that you limit the time you spend in the sun; light to no exposure to the sun. Overexposure can cause redness and discomfort. We recommend you to use sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher when exposed to the sun.
2. Start your facial regimen at least 3 months out from your wedding date. This will give your skin the opportunity to express any impurities. Facial regimens may include aggressive exfoliation such as microdermabrasion or glycolic peels. Regular facial services may include cleansing, extractions, high frequency treatment, steaming and massage. Remember the neck, shoulders, and decollete! These are visible areas that need to be picture perfect.
3. Your at-home care regimen is essential in maintaining spa treatment results. Consult with your aesthetician for your best care system. Your care system should include a daily ritual of care products, proper nutrition and drinking plenty of water.
4. Start to remove any dark spots on the skin at least 4 months in advance. For great results, we recommend photorejuvenation treatments. Your last treatment should be two months before your wedding.
5. Shield your face when applying hair spray. Wash your pillow case frequently. Keep your phone and hands clean. They are in constant contact with your face.
6. Get your nails serviced the night before or the day of your wedding. Make your nail appointments together. Insist on your groom getting a manicure and pedicure, too. His hands will be photographed with yours! Be familiar with your nail technician prior to being serviced on your special day. Knowing your nail tech will help you avoid nail nightmares, such as nicks and bad polishing techniques.
7. Test hair and makeup styling at least three months before your big day. This will eliminate any unwanted surprises. Be familiar with the lighting and climate in the space where you will be wed!
8. Going to a warm climate for your honeymoon? Have your nail technician seal your polish with a UV top coat so your polish does not dull in color due to sun exposure or contact with tanning lotions and suncreens.
9. Prepare an emergency touch-up kit for minor blemishes. This should include a nail file, clippers, clear coat, & nail glue if you apply nail tips and your chosen nail color. This is especially important for French manicures.
10. The bride should be done first! Since you’re the princess of the day, appoint someone to do errands and to take care of those last minute wedding details. Your nails, hair and make up should be finished first. Take care of yourself.
