Bridal Dash for Mom & Daughter
August 10, 2005
I just read this article about the running of the brides at Filene’s Basement in Maryland and it just made me laugh. I know brides do this mad dash throughout the store trying on bridal gowns left and right with the hope of finding that perfect dress. I also know that there’s no way I could have done anything like that.
That’s way too much pressure for me. It took me several weeks to find my dress. I had to think about it, sleep on it and confer with a few people before I made my decision.
And, the idea of running with my mom through a department store is absolutely hilarious. My mom would never be bothered with something like that. She’s from the south and very much a lady. She might wait for me at the door and wish me luck and then find a nice seat until I was done. That’s too much activity and craziness in one spot for her and me both.
I wish those moms and daughters all the luck in the world.
Take care!
