Chicago Brides and Cosmetic Dentristry
March 31, 2006
More and more Chicago brides are using cosmetic dentistry to improve the look of their smile before the wedding. Some are meeting with dentists to brighten their teeth, or to straighten their teeth some using non-invasive procedures with specialized Chicago cosmetic dentists.
It’s really not that difficult to make a few minor improvements before your wedding, if you so choose. I remember getting a tooth-whitening kit that wasn’t too expensive for my own wedding a few years ago. If you get a special cast of your teeth made for the whitening process, be sure to keep using the kit every night. Your teeth will move, so if you stop using the cast, it won’t fit properly over your teeth.
I wouldn’t recommend getting braces before your wedding. I have braces right now and it wouldn’t have worked to have them during my engagement. Orthodontists can predict when they’ll be able to take off your braces, but there are no guarantees. I wouldn’t want to take my pictures with a lovely set of braces covering my teeth.
Feel free to meet with a few cosmetic dentists to get a good idea of what would work for you before your wedding. Be sure to call Dr. Kralj of Studio of Aesthetic Dentistry for more information - (312) 491-9494. He’s a really good guy and would be able to give you honest feedback of your teeth.
