Chicago Wedding Planning with Gusto
March 23, 2007
Hi Everyone!
I know it’s been a long time since I have blogged on the site. Things have been wonderfully busy here at Wedding Chicago. We had the Wedding Chicago Bridal Brunch & Fashion Show at the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel last month. And, we’re busy planning the next Wedding Chicago Bridal Event which will occur sometime later this year.
I gotta tell you, it’s challenging running a business. There’s so much to do every single day. We have several facets of our business that need our attention and sometimes we don’t get to everything.
Our Wedding Chicago Blog readers have waited patiently for us to update the blog with Chicago wedding news and events. Our intention is to blog at least once a day from now on, but we’ll have to see how it goes.
In my opinion, running a business is like coordinating a wedding to the Nth degree. It has the power to completely take over my life, if I let it. When I planned my wedding a few years ago, I went crazy with making appointments and calling wedding vendors all in the first couple of weeks following my engagement. I slowed down after awhile, and my then-fiance’ was so grateful for that.
Now that Spring has sprung, it’s time to ease back into your own Chicago wedding planning. Everything will get done in due time and there’s no rush. I’m sure all of your vendors will get booked for your wedding and they’ll do an amazing job.
You’ll probably come into a number of high-pressure sales people in our Chicago wedding industry. Don’t worry about it. There’s no need to hire a wedding vendor under duress. They want your business so that they can, obviously, stay afloat but good wedding vendors won’t brow beat you into hiring them.
Talk to you soon!
