Chicago Wedding Planning with your Dog
July 26, 2006
Many Chicago couples love their dogs so much that they want include them in their wedding ceremony. Dogs are now participating in weddings as ringbearers so much that a number of companies design tuxes with Fido in mind.
The only problem with having your dog in the wedding ceremony is that anything can happen. Your dog may be very well-behaved in normal circumstances, but he may act out with so many people focused on his every move.
Having worked in the theatre for several years, I can tell you that animals and children have a way of upstaging you. They don’t mean it. Their behavior and their reactions to different things is honest and that naturally draws our attention.
Make sure you have a handler to take care of your dog before, during and after your ceremony. Check out this article from CBS news: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/07/26/earlyshow/contributors/debbyeturner/main1836687.shtml\
Take care!
