Chicago Wedding Video Tips

First off, I have to say that shooting a Chicago wedding is very difficult.  It’s not something everyone can do well, and very few videographers know how to create a cinematic wedding video. 

Here are some thoughts to consider:
1) How long has your Chicago wedding videographer been in the business of shooting weddings and how many weddings have they shot?  Several videographers start their business after shooting a couple of weddings for their friends.  Try to get someone that has a great deal of experience as a Chicago wedding videographer.

2) How many weddings do they book per weekend?  If the videographer overbooks himself/herself, then you could end up getting a cookie cutter wedding video.

3) How long is the finished product?  Some wedding videographers refuse to edit their wedding videos, so you might end up getting a 2-hour video, which is way too long.

4) Do you use graphics or editing tricks in the final cut of the video?  Some of you may like sparkles in the wedding video, but most Chicago brides think those type of graphics are cheesy. think it’s cheesy.  They want a wedding documentary that tells their story.
