Wedding News: Green Weddings are on the Rise

Many couples are incorporating their environmental values into their wedding by including organic food, flowers and biodegradable wedding products.  Some couples will go to great lengths to use recyclable products in their wedding in order to create a wedding that will have a minimal impact on the planet.

Millions of couples get married every year.  Due to the popularity of environmental causes and global warming, it makes sense that a number of couples design their wedding with the environment in mind.  There’s a good article from Inside Bay Area that details the different ways that one couple limited the amount of waste in their wedding including their use of paper in the invitations and recycled white gold wedding rings for them both.

I applaud couples for taking the time to be environmentally responsible.  It would be nice to have a wedding coordinator or wedding planner that could help couples create an environmentally-conscious wedding right here in Chicago.  Any takers?
