Jennifer Willbanks on her Own Again
May 19, 2006
Last year, I wrote a little piece about Jennifer Wilbanks and the way she ran away from her wedding instead of facing her husband-to-be. Looks like the relationship is now over, but that’s not a big surprise. I suspect that it would take a lot of counselling to get over being left at the altar.
I was actually surprised that the groom, John Mason, would take her back so quickly after the whole debacle. You have to wonder about a person who makes up such a huge lie to get out of facing the repurcussions of her actions. I’m not judging Jennifer Wilbanks, but I thought it was odd that her groom immediately decided to stay in the relationship.
I guess we’ll never know what went on in their relationship, and it’s none of our business anyway. If anything, Jennifer Wilbanks taught brides a great lesson: speak up if you don’t want to marry the person to whom you’re engaged. It’s hard and difficult to end the wedding with so many guests coming from out of town, but it’s better than running away. You can never run away from your problems. They only end up coming along with you.
Take care!
