Here is what we are doing at our hotel (Courtyard by Marriott Magnificent Mile - Downtown Chicago) for weddings in 2006 and 2007. 

If a wedding is booked by July 31, 2006 that will be held in 2006 or 2007 the wedding couple will receive the following:

$500 cash rebate - for wedding held on Saturday’s
$500 cash rebate & 15,000 Marriott Rewards points - for weddings held on
Friday & Sunday

*Stipulations*
A minimum of $5000 in catering revenue must be spent.  Catering revenue is defined as and will include: food & beverage costs not including gratuities and tax for these items.  Applicable only to weddings booked at the Courtyard by Marriott Magnificent Mile by July 31, 2006 and are held in 2006 or 2007.  Does not pertain to weddings previously booked.
