Wedding Blues for Paul McCartney

I just found out that Paul McCartney and Heather Mills McCartney have decided to end their marriage.

They married in June 2002, four years after Paul McCartney’s first wife, Linda McCartney, succumbed to breast cancer.  Linda was such a beloved character and was so close to Paul that most people thought he would never get over her death.  He found love again with Heather Mills and it looked like they were in it for the long haul.

They both insist that the split is amicable.  Apparently, she didn’t have to sign a pre-nuptial agreement despite tabloid reports.  He’s worth a billion dollars, so I’m sure she’ll get something. 

It’s always sad to hear about a separation.  I hope things work out for both of them and their families.
