Chicago Bachelorette Party - Oprah Show

Chicago Brides, Indiana Brides, Michigan Brides, Wisconsin Brides, Missouri Brides are all looking for new and diffferent ways to celebrate their upcoming nuptials with their girlfriends.  What about participating in a taping of an episode for the Oprah Show.

Sound crazy?  It actually isn’t.  I can tell you from experience that it is a fun, memorable way to celebrate and bond with friends before wedding!  I mean, who can disagree that Oprah is the most popular talk show in the world and that she tapes this fabulous show in Chicago.  Why not take advantage of that before your wedding? 

When I got engaged, my cousin, Genesta, asked me to get tickets to the Oprah Show.  Now, I don’t have an “in” with Oprah, but I was kind of interested in participating in an episode, too.  Soon my sister, my mom and my niece all wanted to go to Oprah while they were in town for my wedding.  This was a little more stress that I wanted to deal with before my wedding, but what the heck?

Actually, it wasn’t that hard to secure tickets after all.  My cousin and my sister took the lead in calling the Oprah show with the hope of getting 5 tickets to the show.  Well, my sister got 4 tickets and at the last minute my cousin got one extra ticket through the concierge at the hotel.  We participated in a 7am taping of an episode about travelling post-9/11 on the day before my wedding.  The entire experience was exhilarating!

Afterwards, we had breakfast at Wishbone and had a great time.  We will always have those memories of a different way to celebrate a wedding.
