Chicago Wedding Entertainment Tips to Cut Costs

Chicago wedding entertainment does not have to cost an arm and a leg.  Sure if you want a 12-piece Chicago orchestra for 6 hours for your wedding entertainment, then that might cost you a pretty penny.  There are different ways to have top notch Chicago wedding entertainment without going into debt.

Let’s say you want to create an elegant atmosphere for your wedding.  Consider hiring a four-piece quartet for the cocktail reception and hiring a Chicago DJ for the dinner and dancing part of the reception.

Live Chicago wedding entertainment immediately raises the bar on your wedding.  That’s not to say that a Chicago DJ would not make a good impression on your wedding guests, but that live entertainment makes an impact that a DJ cannot necessarily make. 

Some couples choose to have Chicago wedding musicians, Chicago harpists and Chicago soloists at their wedding ceremony in order to incorporate some live entertainment in their wedding.  That might be more cost effective for the couple, especially if the church or synagogue offers a special rate if you hire your musicians through them.

You might want to contact the music dept at a local college such as Columbia College, DePaul, Northwestern or Roosevelt University.  They might have a few suggestions for enterprising college students who have started their own quartets on the side to make a little more money and build their portfolio.
