Engagement Rings you can Afford
August 2, 2006
A groom-to-be on a budget just contacted me a few days ago and asked if a woman would be disappointed if she didn’t get a diamond in her engagement ring.
I answered that his girlfriend would love anything that he got her, I’m sure, but most brides do want some type of gemstone in their engagement ring. Since he was on a budget, I got to work to find something that would make a great impression and that he could afford.
Ice.com is one of my favorite online retailers because they have great jewelry at great prices. You can find gorgeous engagement rings with cluster diamonds for as low as $399.00. Engagement rings don’t have to cost a fortune, believe it or not!
It’s important to do a little research before you purchase your fiancee’s engagement. Find out as much as you can about the retailer and their reliability and company history. It’s also important to learn about the 4 C’s - cut, carat, clarity and color - before picking out a diamond. You can buy a big rock, but if the color or the clarity is bad, they you won’t get the flash you want.
Some brides opt to have a sapphire or emerald as the main stone in their engagement ring, surrounded by a cluster of small diamonds in the setting. That’s more affordable than getting a huge rock.
Take care!
