Peninsula Hotel Chicago for your Bridal Shower

Peninsula Hotel Chicago is the perfect place for a high-end bridal shower or an elegant pre-wedding party with the women in your family.

Instead of a traditional bachelorette party, some brides opt for an afternoon tea with their closest girlfriends a couple of days before the big wedding.  The Peninsula Hotel Chicago is such an amazing spot to have these kind of gatherings. 

During afternoon tea, they usually have a string trio or quartet playing in the balcony overlooking the dining room.  The servers are all impeccably dressed and work very hard to make each guest feel like a VIP.

I’ve gone to afternoon tea in a few places in downtown Chicago, but none of the other sites made such an impression on me as the Peninsula.  That’s now my spot of choice to catch up with a girlfriend over tea, scones and a variety of delectable items on the menu.

I have to say that the best part about the servers at the Peninsula Hotel Chicago is that they always offer to bring out more scones and mini-sandwiches if you happen to run out of them during your tea.  That doesn’t mean that they expect their guests to treat afternoon tea like a lunch buffet, but they want to make sure that you’ve had your fill.

Also, they have an extensive tea menu so you can get exotic tea from all over the world.  If you’re feeling a spicy, you can order champagne instead.

This is such great place to feel pampered, and what bride doesn’t want that?  The small parties I’ve seen during tea time are all very low-key and elegant.  It’s just the right place to show your bridal party how much you appreciate them.

The Peninsula Hotel Chicago puts the focus on you and the experience they’d like you to have in their lovely establishment.  If you plan to go on a Saturday, be sure to make a reservation ahead of time.  They’ll make every accommodation to serve you, but sometimes they get completely booked ahead of time.
