Passport Notice from Travel by Marcy

I was talking to Marcy last week about the travel business and she wanted me to relay a message to all of our brides.  She told me that if couples are planning to honeymoon outside of the U.S. they should apply for a passport several months ahead of time.  Don’t wait until the week before to get your passport to go on that dream honeymoon to Paris.  Unfortunately, you would be in for a sad surprise.

Marcy also faxed me a notice regarding passports, stating that “...effective December, 31, 2006, a valid passport will be required for persons of all ages returning by air or sea from any international destination.  State issued birth certificates with government issued I.D. will no longer be an acceptable form of proof of citizenship.

“For details on how to obtain a passport, contact your local courthouse or U.S. Post Office.  Visit http://www.applevac.passportexpress.com for information on obtaining expedited passports.

“All passengers traveling within the United States or to any U.S. territory (including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) require only a valid government issued photo I.D.

“Proper proof of citizenship is your responsibility.  Boarding will be denied without proper documentation.”
