Wedding Plastic Surgery TV Show
October 6, 2010
Just so you know, I have a much lower opinion about the E! Network and its decision to show this program on the network.
Apparently, some brainiacs decided that a tv show featuring plastic surgery doctors cutting up women before their big day was an amazing idea for a TV show. Really? Isn’t the woman good enough as she is? Does she need a doctor to surgically fix her before her wedding? The whole idea behind the TV show is abhorrent to say the least.
Now, I don’t have anything against plastic surgery necessarily. Do I think a number of women use it to fix the pain they may feel inside? Yes. Do I think that some women use it as a result of poor self-image and low self-esteem. Again, yes, I admit that I have strong feelings around the nature of plastic surgery. However, the fact that this wedding plastic surgery TV show even exists is a good example of the image-based society in which we now live.
Women, you are beautiful just as you are. If you choose to get a nip or tuck, that’s your business. Please don’t think that you need to go under the knife to look absolutely gorgeous on your special day. You will look gorgeous because you’ll have a wedding glow due to your extreme happiness on that day. Cosmetic surgery can’t hold a candle to the wedding glow. I tell you, it’s so important to be happy with yourself and with your decision to marry that man in front of you.

Have a great one!
